With over 60 years of experience, Fountain Construction Company, Inc. has built our reputation upon our clients’ satisfaction. Operating from a sound financial base, Fountain now directly employs the technical expertise of over 140 skilled tradesmen. It’s taken time and 3 generations to grow into the company we are today.

In 1959 D.G. “Sonny” Fountain started a residential electrical contracting business called Fountain Electric. The firm grew quickly and was soon performing large and difficult commercial projects such as the Mississippi R&D Center, Baptist Hospital in Jackson, and St. Dominic Health Center in Jackson.

By the 1970s, Fountain had formed Mechanical and General Construction divisions to provide full construction services to its customer base.

A Sheetmetal Fabrication division was also formed in the mid ‘70s primarily to support the other operations, but it has also done contract custom steel fabrication work including building kitchen equipment, fire truck bodies, tanks, conveyors, and special architectural components.

The move from subcontractor to general contractor was inevitable, and in 1985 the name was changed to Fountain Construction Company to better reflect our full capabilities. We then began doing work strictly as a prime contractor. That change brought on the addition of even more disciplines performed in-house such as concrete, masonry, crane & rigging, and steel erection.
